    1896 United Snakes of America Bryan Dollar, Diameter 45mm, in white metal with a reeded edge. Scattered abrasions on each side. A satirical medal from the 1896 presidential election. On the obverse is a satirical "portrait" of William Jennings Bryan as a duck wearing a donkey's head, and POP on his "body" as an abbreviation for Populist Party. IN BRYAN WE TRUST in upper right obverse field. UNITED SNAKES OF AMERICA around obverse periphery. On the reverse: FREE SILVER across upper periphery, ONE DAM in the center, 1896 on the lower exergue. Very good.
