    Description

1872 Horace Greeley Editor and Founder of the N.Y. Tribune Copper Medalet. Measures 25mm. Sullivan-DeWitt HG 1872-6a. This medal declares one of Greeley's many accomplishments and titles. Needless to say, he was a little ahead of his time and outside the mainstream. Condition on the medal is very nice with only some slight darkening of the copper but still retaining much of its original luster. The dark chocolate patina is quite handsome.
