    Description

1834 Jackson "Hard Times" Brass Token. Measures 28mm and is listed as Sullivan-Dewitt CE 1834-29. This token shows the progenitor of popular democracy facing to the right. This token is ostensibly an inaugural item, but generally considered a Hard Times token. The condition is excellent with some residual darkening of the brass on both sides; there is a small blemish on the reverse in the text near the bottom of the token. Otherwise a handsome piece.
