Harrison & Morton: A Spectacular Large Jugate Campaign Banner. A picture speaks more than a thousand words where this marvelous banner is concerned. Added to its appeal is its remarkable condition; while it shows legit aging, it is free of the heavy deterioration almost always seen in 19th century silk banners.

If the design seems familiar it is because it resembles a similar campaign ribbon, doubtless from the same manufacturer. But, while the ribbon comes up for sale on occasion, this is the only example of the banner of which we are aware. Given its size, colorful design, and presumed uniqueness, this is arguable the premier manufactured 19th c. political banner (while other striking banners exist, they were almost always hand-painted). A "must have" for the advance collection of American political textiles and display pieces. Dimension are 34" x 50". There are no tears and it comes with what appears to be the original pole for suspension. Selections from the Collection of Tom Charles Huston.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
