    Description

Theodore Roosevelt: A Large Flag from the 1900 Rough Rider Reunion in Oklahoma City. This was a large, festive three-day event, nominally a reunion of veterans of TR's famous Spanish American War cavalry unit. However, their beloved leader was at the time in the midst of a campaign for the vice presidency as William McKinley's running mate. Not surprisingly, the affair morphed into an exuberant Roosevelt campaign rally. A variety of novelties including pinback buttons and pennants were made for the event, but this hand-stenciled flag banner was probably created on the spot. It is in excellent condition but for some fading in the blue area above the top row of stars. It has been expensively custom framed, measuring 38" x 63".

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
