    Description

SUPERB LARGE, 1900-DATED TR CAMPAIGN BANNER..

Made for his Vice Presidential candidacy with McKinley.  The central image is a gorgeous hand-painted one, signed by the artist C. A. Murdy (?).  The portrait is on a round piece of cloth, sewn in place, as shown.  The surrounding background is of a different fabric, which shows very trivial light, even "aging"; however the central portrait section is in terrific condition.  Fancy border sewn all around, with gold fringe around bottom.  Very unusual original flat metal "rod" for suspension across top.

As the photo shows, this banner has great display presence, and is one of the finest such items we have seen for this popular President.  34 x 52."

Please note:  Due to the size and/or weight of this lot, additional shipping costs may apply.
