    Description

Superb 1860 Lincoln/Hamlin Ferrotype With Bright Red Composition Frame
Listed by Sullivan as AL 1860-86, but this is the first example we have ever handled. Unlisted in Hake. Oversized at 30 mm, and highly distinctive and appealing pristine condition. For strictest accuracy we note a very slight darkening of the ferrotype image, as manufactured, on the lower portion of the Lincoln side. It is so hard to find 1860 Lincoln ferros with any kind of stand-out style, making this a prize indeed. From the Joe Brown Collection.
