    Revolutionary War: Boston Massacre Commemoration and Bonus. 5.5" x 5" handbill titled "Notification", Boston, March 2, 1773. It directs the qualified voters of Boston to meet at Faneuil Hall on March 5th to hear the report of a committee empowered to chose an orator to give a speech marking the third anniversary of the "HORRID Massacre, perpetrated on the Evening of the 5th Day of March, 1770..." It also refers to the ruinous policy of placing standing armies in "...free and populous Cities, in Time of Peace..." and urges attendees to discuss means to frustrate the "... Designs of the Conspirators against the Public Liberty.. when thus assembled according to Law." Hinged at top with linen tape to larger sheet. Most historic! Sold together with a 12" x 10" 19th century engraving on thick paper of the Battle of Lexington, signed in pencil A. Chapell and J. Smillie, hinged with linen tape to a larger sheet.
