Martin Van Buren: Circa 1836 Cartoon. Democratic candidate and Jackson heir apparent, Martin Van Buren, isn't feeling well in this 16" x 10" cartoon lithographed by H. R. Robinson. He is throwing up "Promises Vows [and] Professions". It is titled "Mr. Van Shuffleton and his Physician Sam." The doctor appears to be an early version of Uncle Sam who holds Van Buren's letter to opposition leader Sherrod Williams. Apparently, Van Buren went back on the promises made in that letter, including the distribution of surplus money generated by tariffs and duties. It has one border tear and has been linen-backed some time ago. There is also minor foxing, as shown.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
