    Description

Cabinet Card: 1895 Feminist and Political Activist. The lady depicted on this Bridgen & Geisler of Cleveland cabinet card was obviously not a wall flower. She is identified on the verso as: "Frannie W. Knowlton Color Bearer. Ark. Delegation to the Republican National Convention Cleveland Ohio June 1895". This was actually the convention for the National League of Republican Clubs. Frannie proudly holds the flag and wears an assortment of political badges. We can discern a Lincoln portrait ribbon (post-1865), a ribbon for H. Clay Evans, a metal fob suspended from a corn cob, a Broome County Republican League ribbon, a large ribbon issued for the convention in question and a smaller convention badge with a mechanical paper diamond that reveals portraits of Republican leaders, past and present. This is a true slice of Americana and a fun piece!

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
