    [James A. Garfield]: Assassin Charles Guiteau Archive. Extensive group of ephemera that includes: unusual set of five gold-background trade cards ("From Childhood to Hell"), full color trade card, dated signature card of Guiteau with typed note of provenance, 4-page letter written from Willard's Ebbitt Hotel in Washington dated November 14, 1881 briefly referencing the trial ("I was at the court where Guiteau was being tried. I could not get in it was so crowded so I didn't see him but perhaps I shall see him before I go... There is nothing talked of here but the trial..."), a 2-page letter from trial juror Thomas Heinlein (..."The tryal has now Reached its 47th day. we have been cooped up or quartered at the above Hotel since the 14th of Nov., so you can imagine how irksom and monotonus a fellows life becomes, independent of his business going to Ruin... there is nothing of consequence to cronicle. I can not write you anything Relating to the case... I have not had in my possession or been able to read any paper since I was sworn as juror in this case..."), an engraved CDV of Guiteau, a facsimile pass to the hanging of unknown age, a stereo view of the prison where Guiteau was hung and a pulp paperback book titled "The Assassin's Doom" (lacking front cover and otherwise in fair condition).
