    Description

Woman's Suffrage: Two Variations of the Rose O'Neill Klever Kard. Rose O'Neill, creator of the Kewpie Dolls, was an ardent supporter of suffrage, who contributed several of her designs to suffrage posters and postcards. The image pictured here was distributed by Klever Kards, and the baby carrying the placard could be partially punched out of the card and made to stand. Although both cards contain the same image, one is "signed" by O'Neill and carries a copyright notice. The other is unsigned and says "Kewpie-After Rose O'Neill." Both cards are in very good condition.
