Woman's Suffrage: Blackwell Family Autograph and Post Cards. This lot contains a postcard featuring a photo and quotation from Henry Blackwell, along with his signature on a separate card. Blackwell was the husband of Lucy Stone, an ardent believer in the cause for women's rights, and co-editor with his wife of Woman's Journal. The second card pictures Susan B. Anthony, but on the reverse is a brief message and penned signature of Alice Stone Blackwell, the daughter of the above. She was instrumental in uniting the two factions of the suffrage movement, NWSA and AWSA in 1890. She also served as editor of the Woman's Journal after the death of her parents. Overall very good condition with a slight spot on the front of the Henry Blackwell card.
