    Description

Woman's Suffrage and Baseball Fan. In an age that preceded electric fans and air conditioners, hand-held cardboard fans were greatly appreciated and were often passed out by merchants to advertise their wares and services. This 7" x 8" sepia fan, issued by the undertaker and embalmer, Henry L. Snyder of Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, is one of the best. Its sepia illustration shows two young girls with a "Votes for Women" sign having appropriated the baseball bench of two small boys. In excellent condition, this particular variety of fan has never been auctioned before. Extremely rare.
