    Rose F. Kennedy: Archive of Letters from JFK's Mother. This lot contains an engraved calling card, eleven letters and a telegram written by Rose Kennedy to various family members over a span of years from the 1940s to the 1970s. These include: a 1974 letter signed "Aunt Rose" regarding a book she is writing, a very fine 2-page TLS written in 1954 to "Dear Children" from the French Riviera, a terrific 2-page TLS written in 1943 to "Dear Children" forwarding Joe, Junior's military address and mentioning "Jack would be leaving for the Pacific in a couple of days", a 1951 TLS to Loretta Connelly, a 1945 TLS to Loretta with manuscript postscript and recommending that "... it would be best to send Jack's gift to the Cape as his plans are rather indefinite...", a 1946 TLS to Loretta talking about cleaning out Joe, Jr.'s trunk and Bobby possibly playing in a Harvard-Brown football game despite not being very heavy, a 1955 TLS to Loretta written from the French Riviera, a 1953 TLS to Loretta recommending vitamins, a 1951 two-page TLS to Loretta describing a christening at the Skakel home in Greenwich and the visit of Jack on leave from Congress, a 1957 TLS to Joe written from Switzerland, a 1946 telegram to Loretta, and a 1956 TLS to Loretta written from the French Riviera discussing the vote tally for Vice President at the DNC ("Jack arrived last night and gave us the details. We all thought he looked very well and seems to be in good spirits but he said he was very tired. Tomorrow he and Ted start off on their boat."). A letter of provenance from the family accompanies the lot.
