Robert F. Kennedy: Sirhan B. Sirhan Legal Documents. In contrast to JFK's assassination, RFK's assassination did not spawn the same number of conspiracy theorists. The alleged assassin was caught "red-handed" at the scene of the attack and lived to stand trial. He has been in prison for 43 years and, despite his requests for release at parole hearings, may never see the light of day and die in prison. Yet, there are those who question his guilt and point to the possibility of another gunman and the involvement of others who somehow manipulated Sirhan, in the style of "The Manchurian Candidate". This lot includes material from a leading proponent of these views, Sirhan's defense attorney Lawrence Teeter. The lot includes several letters from Teeter and research papers. The main items in the lot are four, large court petitions used in recent efforts to obtain a new trial for the accused assassin. These include: 1) a bound, 296-page "Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus By a Person in State Custody" issued by Sirhan vs. the Warden of the California State Prison at Corcoran and the State Attorney General from 2000, 2) a bound, 114-page "Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus" from 2002, 3) a bound volume of "Exhibits in Support of Petition for Writ of Habeas Corpus" from 2002, likely numbering 250 pages all told and 4) a 3-ring binder containing a "Writ for Habeas Corpus" issued on behalf of Sirhan in 1997 and numbering 172 pages. A letter of provenance from the family accompanies the lot.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
