    John F. Kennedy: Texas Welcome Dinner Grouping. JFK and LBJ were scheduled to attend a dinner in Austin on November 22, 1963. Invitations and tickets were printed and sent out, but the event never occurred due to the tragic events in Dallas. This is a group of items that belonged to Dave Smith, the public relations liaison officer for the event. It includes en engraved invitation with contribution card, return and transmittal envelopes, three gold tickets to the dinner and a yellow ticket to the Press Section.
