Eugene V. Debs: The Classic "Convict" Postcard from his Final (1920) Presidential Bid. Jailed for his political activities, Debs ran his final campaign from his prison cell, and sought to make the most of his "martyr" status. Various button designs as well as this postcard show Debs in his prison uniform, and some of the buttons simply identify him as "Convict No. 9653!"

This real photo postcard is in exceptional condition for the type, free of the usual creasing, and has an especially nice handwritten note on the verso thanking the addressee for his contribution to the 1920 campaign fund.
