    Description

Better Early and 1909 Lincoln Centennial Postcard Hoard A large dealer's lot of approximately 330 postcards, most dating to the 1909 Centennial celebration honoring the 100th anniversary of Lincoln's birth. Many have gorgeous embossed details; many are in bright, vibrant colors; some were stamped and canceled having been postal used. Numerous duplicates, condition varies as expected, but overall very good, should be viewed. At the height of popularity, when collecting Lincoln's image in this format, these were considered among the best designs and most desired. A great opportunity to obtain a sizable inventory just two years shy of the next Lincoln celebration: the bicentennial of his birth!
