    Description

Abraham Lincoln: Original Philadelphia Inquirer Cartoon. This is an original 14" x 23" cartoon by Hutton that appeared on Lincoln's birthday in 1950 in the "Philadelphia Inquirer". An old man, representing Congress, is trying to write Civil Rights legislation and is urged to keep the words and example of Abraham Lincoln in mind. He obviously failed at his task, since Civil Rights legislation did not pass Congress until 1964.
