    Description

George Washington: Biographies by Weems and Ramsey. This lot includes "Parson" Weems "The Life of Washington", published in Philadelphia in 1808. Page fourteen contains the famous myth of young George chopping down a cherry tree with his hatchet and confessing to his father: "I cannot tell a lie..." This worn copy lacks the frontispiece, as is often the case (Sabin 102486). It is sold together with an 1811 second edition of David Ramsey's "The Life of George Washington", published in Boston by Mallory & Co. (front cover detached).

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
