Roosevelt & Johnson: A Rare 1912 Progressive "Bull Moose Party" Jugate. This 1¼" beauty by St. Louis Button Co. is one of the loveliest of all jugate button designs. It was resurrected in 1920 for the famed Cox & Roosevelt jugates produced by that company. One of almost certainly fewer than ten known examples. Of course all Roosevelt & Johnson jugates are rare, with the most available varieties commanding several thousand dollars in top condition. The present example has some minor condition issues, but is a very strong bold example and eminently collectible. It appears perfect, but there is a very slight bumpiness to the surface, sufficiently out of the ordinary that it must be noted on a button of this importance. There is one small surface chip in the field near the edge at 10:30, which detracts minimally. But this example is one that would satisfy most collectors considering its rarity.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
