    Description

Wonderful, High-Relief Theodore Roosevelt Lithographed Aluminum Badge. This is one of our personal all-time favorite Teddy items! Raised letters on the lion's teeth read "Welcome Teddy," and this item was probably produced, as were several sought-after buttons, to honor his return to America after his widely-followed African safari. A fold-over metal tab at the top was used to affix it for wearing (political "tabs" are avidly collected, and this must surely be the best of that genre). Choice condition and quite rare; we cannot recall seeing one offered in years. 2.125" x 2.375".
