    Description

William Henry Harrison: Cloisonné-style Log Cabin Brooch. 3/4" x 1" metal and enamel brooch depicting the Harrison log cabin, hard cider barrel and tree against a black enamel background, all slightly raised. This was produced using a method akin to cloisonné enameling. There are traces of green, gold and rose enamel color, applied to a silver metal base. It is in excellent condition. We recall seeing another example in the collection of the "Just Buttons" museum in Southington, Connecticut. Great condition.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
