Theodore Roosevelt: A Super Campaign Badge from his 1912 Bull Moose Candidacy. 1912-dated, with a Rough Rider hat bearing his initials suspended at the bottom. Teddy "threw his hat in the ring" when he decided to run as an independent candidate. Badges in this style are found for most candidates from 1896 through 1920, but with their exposed paper surface and deterioration prone silk ribbons, they are notoriously hard to find in nice condition. This example is in great shape, about as nice as any of this genre that we have seen. 2.2" x 4.75".
