    Description

Stunning Large 1840 WH Harrison Silk Campaign Ribbon With Washington And LaFayette
"First in War, First in Peace, and First in the hearts of their countrymen." An eagle above Harrison's portrait holds a "Harrison and Tyler" streamer in his mouth. The Harrison campaign was one of the first to employ "modern" campaigning techniques, one of which was to attempt to tie the candidate to popular figures such as GW and LaFayette. Very Choice, virtually pristine example. 2 1/2" x 9 3/4". From the Joe Brown Collection.
