    Politicians and Officials: Gold Badges and More. Three gold badges and three that are plated. The gold badges include: 1.25" octagonal fob for Martin Ferber, Chosen Freeholder of Bergen County (stamped 14K), 1.75" badge for the Chief Executive Officer of the New York Transit Commission (stamped "Solid Gold") and a 2<" oval badge for W. C. Parker, Boston City Council member in 1892 (tests as 14K). These three items weigh 44 grams. The other three badges are for Pennsylvania State Senator John T. Van Sant, Upper Darby Township Commissioner John Burt and West Sayville Fire Department ex-Chief.
