    Description

Henry Clay: "Palm Reader" Ribbon with Texas and Slavery References.
3" x 6 1/4" pale green ribbon titled "Henry Clay, and a Protective Tariff." It has Clay's portrait, a hand labeled with six planks of the Whig Party, a six-line anti-Polk poem at the bottom, plus the slogans "No Annexation of Texas! No Extension of Slavery!!" Unfortunately, the last two positions doomed Clay to defeat for the third and final time. Excellent condition. A must-have Clay ribbon!

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
