    Description

Benjamin Harrison: Name Brooch and Unique Cartoon Paper Ribbon. 2" die-cut brass name brooch for "Harrison" attached to a 2 ¾" x 7" paper ribbon depicting Cleveland and an unknown man (Daniel L.) covered by Grandfather's Hat with their four-line commentary on the situation. Titled "Something Has Dropped." The number 1402 appears on the bottom. Cleveland got 90,000 more votes than Harrison in 1888, but lost the Electoral College and the election. The number 1402 may refer to the additional number of votes he needed that would have turned the result in his favor. A terrific piece that tells a story.
