    Description

Abraham Lincoln: Beardless Portrait Ribbon. This 2 ½" x 8" silk ribbon was issued during Lincoln's first run for the White House in 1860. It features a bold portrait of the Rail Splitter Candidate. There is some light staining, mainly around the perimeter, and two partial horizontal splits: one at the tip of the flagpole and another across the top of Lincoln's eyes. Some judicious repairs using archival materials could enhance the presentation.
