    Lace and Wallpaper from Lincoln's Box at Ford's Theatre. A sizeable piece of Nottingham lace curtain, together with a smaller piece of reddish leaf and flower patterned wallpaper, both taken from Box 7 - the presidential box - at Ford's Theatre following the assassination. Some sources say that Lincoln was getting ready to push, or had just pushed, the lace curtain aside to peer at the audience at the moment Booth's shot rang out.
