    Description

    John F. Kennedy: Personally-used Oval Office Hand Towel. 10.5" x 17" terry-cloth hand towel with applied donkey patch inscribed "Democrats". According to an accompanying letter from Presidential Secretary Evelyn Lincoln, this towel was a gift to the President which he kept in a desk in his "little private office next to the Oval Office... he had used it to wipe his hands many times." It was removed from the desk "the morning of November 23, 1963." Sold by Guernsey's as part of the Robert L. White Collection, lot #76.
