    Description

Franklin D. Roosevelt: Personally-owned Crystal Decanter. 11 1/2" high crystal decanter with stopper. It has faceted sides, acid-etched floral and swag-drapery designs and is etched "Franklin Delano Roosevelt" at the base of the neck. It appears to be in very fine condition save for some minute chips on the flared spout. It is accompanied by a Letter of Provenance from Lillian Rogers Park who worked at the White House during the entire twelve years of the Roosevelt's stay. She believes it was owned by FDR prior to his becoming President. It was among items set aside by Eleanor Roosevelt after the President's death and offered to keepsakes to White House employees prior to being sent to Hyde Park.
