    Description

[Franklin D. Roosevelt] Postal Cover From Franklin D. Roosevelt's Famous Stamp Collection. F.D.R was an avid stamp collector and did much to popularize the hobby. He bequeathed his stamp collection to his children who promptly sold them at auction. The collection was sold by the philatelic house of H. R. Harmer in New York. All pieces from Roosevelt's collection, including this example bear the stamped legend "From the Franklin D. Roosevelt Collection./ Authenticated by H. R. Harmer Inc., N.Y." This example is addressed to Roosevelt in typescript and bears a ten cent Mexican air mail stamp, postmarked from Mexico City, 1933. The cover is slightly soiled and toned but remains in very good condition.
