[Andrew Jackson]: Montage Engraving of Anti-Jackson Cartoons. This 13" x 10" engraving by Snooks is titled "Exhibition of Cabinet Pictures". A man and his two sons are spectators in the gallery. There are twenty-two pictures arrayed on the walls plus a "Cabinet Library" of books to one side. Everything relates negatively to Andrew Jackson and his administration. The book titles are derogatory as well as the cartoons which depict Jackson, Van Buren, Clay and others. One cartoon depicts Commodore Bainbridge, but the father explains to his sons that Bainbridge was relieved of his post for anti-administration comments. Here, in one print, is an instant collection of anti-Jackson political cartoons! It likely dates from 1832 and is attributed to David Claypool Johnston. Restoration to areas of loss along top & bottom margins, Toning and discoloration along right side. Some closed border tears. Selections from the Collection of Tom Charles Huston.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
