    Description

William McKinley: One of the Very Best Political Posters from the Golden Age of American Color Lithography. Huge 28" x 42" size and nicely custom-framed. Copyrighted 1900 by Morgan & Co., Cleveland. Horizontal creases from being folded and few minor imperfections, but overall excellent display condition. May possibly be mounted, but we have not opened the frame to confirm. This is only the third example of this gorgeous poster we can recall encountering. One of the others recently adorned the cover of a private catalog put out on behalf of a major political collector who was "thinning the herd." It was in somewhat lesser condition, but we're told is was one of the first pieces sold-at $5500-with several disappointed would-be buyers.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
