Spectacular WWI Suffrage Trolley Sign. Trolley sign, cardboard, 21" x 11" , framed under glass to an overall size of 22" x 12", Allied Printer, New York, in modern black frame. This wonderful trolley sign combines two major themes that were on the national consciousness, WWI and woman suffrage. One point that many suffragists stressed was their loyalty to both the country and to the war effort. In fact, one of the arguments for suffrage was that it would help win the war. This piece is bright and sharp. There is a small 1" x 1" scuff to the top layer of paper missing in the lower left corner, but this particular item has never surfaced before, and its graphics and its rarity more than offset this negligible problem.
