NEAT ANTI-POPULIST 1896 POSTER. This colorful poster depicts the wall of "Democratic Headquarters", which somehow has changed to "Popocratic Headquarters." Satirical posters deal with the effects of Free Silver on the economy ("Vote for Free Silver and Be Prosperous Like Japan – 15c a Day." etc.) At the bottom is dialogue between the two onlookers about how politicians will tell you anything to get votes. Never saw this unusual poster before. Colorful, graphic posters of this era with good content have been very strong in the market place of late. Condition is basically nice. There is some light "aging" and some weakness along the fold lines (as issued) and the piece would benefit greatly from professional cleaning and linen backing (cost would be several hundred dollars; we would be happy to arrange) but it is certainly fine for display just as it is. Size 20" by 14". (# This item may require additional shipping charges).

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
