    Description

Franklin D. Roosevelt: Lithuanian Version Ben Shahn AFL-CIO Poster. 39.25" x 29.5" poster titled "Our Friend. A Mi Barátunk" featuring a prominent profile of FDR with supporters of all ages raising their hands to signify support. Captioned "National Citizens Political Action Committee". The artist's signature appears in the lower left of the plate. Likely issued circa 1944. It shows the strong alliance forged by FDR with manufacturing and agricultural workers. Normal light folds. Minor restoration at lower left corner and along some of the fold lines. Mounted on linen. Our favorite Ben Shahn political poster! From the Collection of David and Janice Frent.
