    Description

Edward Kennedy: Signed and Numbered Andy Warhol Silkscreen Artwork. 32" x 40" silkscreen portrait of Senator Edward Kennedy, signed and numbered by the artist in the lower right corner: "38/300 Andy Warhol". Housed in a plain black frame. The candidate's features are highlighted with red and blue lines mixed with diamond dust. Produced in conjunction with Kennedy's bid for the Democratic nomination in 1980, the color scheme chosen seems most appropriate. Warhol based the portrait on a Polaroid photo of Kennedy he personally took. The pop artist also did works featuring John and Jacqueline Kennedy. Excellent.
