Cox and Harding: Political Cartoon "Under Which Flag", 1920 Election. The printed sheet, 15.5" x 11" (sight size), reproduces two cartoons, one each for James Cox and Warren G. Harding. Both have flag themes. The Cox cartoon shows him raising the League of Nations flag. The Harding cartoon shows the candidate before the stars-and-stripes holding a document that reads, "America First Harding". Attractively matted and framed (20.75" x 16.5" overall). Light toning, else very fine. From the U. I. "Chick" and Cecilia Harris Collection.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
