[Theodore Roosevelt]: Circa 1898 Colorful Theatrical Poster. 20" x 27.5" stone lithograph poster advertising the play "Have You Seen Smith?" It appears to be the comical adventures of a traveling salesman. His anxious girlfriends reach for him as he tries to catch the ferry after arriving on a car of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Creditors reach out to grab him. A policeman keeps a watchful eye on his departure. Admiral Dewey and Rough Rider Teddy Roosevelt stand on the stern of the ferry boat. Dewey and another man gesture with outstretched arms that Smith is not welcome aboard. Printed by the Enquirer Job Printing Company of Cincinnati. 4" and 9" tears in the central vertical fold repaired with tape on verso. Some loss to the border, most notably in the lower right hand corner, with restoration. Displays quite well. A fun piece.
