    Description

Wilson & Marshall and Taft & Sherman: Two Rare and Colorful 1 1/4" 1912 Jugate Buttons. These definitely win our vote as one of the nicest jugate designs from the "golden era" of celluloids. A small group of these surfaced in the early 1990s, probably fewer than ten of each, but most of these have become firmly ensconced in top collections such as the Frent's. Condition is unimprovable on both. The Wilson was selected for the introduction plate for the 1912 essay in Arthur Schlesinger's Running for President: The Candidates and Their Images. 1900-1992.
