William McKinley: Two Different 1¼" Trigates. This is a pair of 1¼" celluloids which feature McKinley and the power of his coat-tails. The grey toned variety shows McKinley and Roosevelt with the local candidate at the top of the trio. It has St. Louis Button Company stamped on the back metal, making it one of the earliest known examples from this iconic company. It has a straight pin and has a minor celluloid crimping problem from 11:00-1:00. Glossy surface displays wonderfully when viewed from the front. The sepia example with McKinley at the top is also a St. Louis Button Company pin and is in choice condition. Both are from the Norman Loewenstern Collection.
