DescriptionWilliam McKinley: The Multi-color 2 1/8" "Hobby Horse" Design. This charming design, along with its Bryan mate, have always been considered among the very best "golden era" political celluloids. When Merrill Berman acquired it in the 1970s there were probably not more than five known, and this item was considered by many to be on a par with the Cox & Roosevelt jugate. Today perhaps a dozen or so are known, a significant number of which have condition issues, but it still ranks as a premier rarity. The Berman example is choice (even the back paper is near mint), and is surely as fine as any known copy.
