    Description

Very Rare Equal Franchise Society Lapel Pin, marked sterling silver with enameled face and attached brass clasp on the back, 15mm. An outer border reads "Votes For Women" and surrounds a central medallion emblazoned "EFS". Excellent condition. Although there were several organizations with the name "Equal Franchise Society," including one in Texas, this "EFS" pin was probably issued by Jeanette Rankin's Montana group sometime around 1910. This pin has never been auctioned before and is a true rarity.
