Theodore Roosevelt: Probably the Finest Attainable Example of this Spectacular 1900 Vice Presidential Pinback. In 1900 Roosevelt was the junior partner along with McKinley on the GOP national ticket. TR retained great popularity for his Spanish-American war exploits, and was often depicted in Rough Rider uniform on campaign items of that year. Teddy was much loved by the veterans of his Rough Rider unit, who almost to a man supported and actively campaigned for his candidacy. This brilliantly colored design was issued along with several other novelty items in conjunction with a four-day Rough Rider reunion in Oklahoma City which quickly turned into an extended TR political rally. Its scarcity and beauty make it one of the most desirable of the pinback varieties featuring TR in Rough Rider garb. While we have never researched the weather at the time, one suspects that there must have been some moisture in the air, because a high percentage of these buttons seem to exhibit some degree of foxing. But the present example exhibits brilliant color and a flawless surface, as if it had never seen the light of day. Surely an unimprovable copy. Diameter 1ΒΌ".

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
