Supreme 1924 Coolidge & Dawes Jugate Button Rarity: "Coolidge & Dawes for the Nation's Cause". In this and the the last Americana auctions, we have offered the Larry Krug Coolidge collection, unquestionably the finest and most comprehensive collection of Coolidge buttons ever assembled. It included virtually every known variety, and many we have not seen elsewhere. Perhaps the only significant known rarity lacking in the Krug collection was this sought-after jugate variety. Ironically, a newly-discovered copy has been consigned to us at the same time, and so we are able to offer it in conjunction with the Krug collection! One of only several known examples, and in great condition. The only other we can ever recall changing hands was bought privately in the early 1990s by one of the hobby's most sophisticated celluloid collectors for a reported $12,000. This beauty presents, if not a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, at least a once-in-a-decade one for the advanced collector.
