Roosevelt & Garner: "Hello" Rarity. This 2¼" Roosevelt & Garner is without a doubt one of the very best Roosevelt word pins. "Happy Days are Here Again" blaze across the top rim, and "Good Luck From Your Missouri Friends" across the middle and bottom. I remember sitting in the office of the A.P.I.C. Hall of Famer Joe Jacobs when he got his in the mail back in the 1970s. He said he had known of its existence for nearly 40 years, but had never come across one until then. This is, in fact, that very button- believed to be the only known copy. It maintains its 1 3/8" attachment ribbon at the top and its Merloy Products Co., Kansas City, Mo. backpaper. It has three or four tiny age spots to bottom of "R" in Roosevelt mentioned for accuracy. From the John Harris Collection.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
