John F. Kennedy: 1956 Vice Presidential Pin and Autograph. The items in this lot tell a story. During a 1959 campaign visit to Lompoc, California, a couple went up to the candidate and asked him to autograph a card that was displayed with a 1956 button from the DNC. He did so, signing the card: "Best from John Kennedy". The lot includes the 2 1/4" lithographed button in mint condition, the accompanying autographed card, a photo of JFK during his visit to Lompoc and a typed letter of provenance from an eyewitness.
